BECK — LOSER T-SHIRT

Released independently in 1993 before becoming a breakthrough hit in 1994, Beck’s “Loser” emerged from the early-1990s alternative scene with an unconventional mixture of folk, hip-hop, blues, and lo-fi production.

Built around a slide-guitar riff, sampled rhythms, and Beck’s fragmented lyrical delivery, “Loser” became the defining early recording of his career and was later included on his 1994 album Mellow Gold.
